From 2004 to 2022, VEJA sourced nearly 1,191,106 tons of organic and agroecological cotton. Cultivated in Brazil and Peru, this cotton is produced by fair trade-certified associations. In Brazil, the cotton supports organic and agroecological practices that enhance soil diversity and water retention. In Peru, farmers grow certified organic and regenerative cotton, receiving support for certification and assistance to improve production.
